He m.(2) May 25, 1837, Susannah Burdick, b. Jan. 11, 1817; d. Feb. 4, 1904. He d. Apr. 18, 1875. In 1852 or 1853, he was at Placerville, Eldorado Co., Cal., looking for gold. They removed from N.Y. State to Decorah, Iowa. He d. at Cresco, Iowa. (Records from his Bible).
Note. In some way Alanson T. Maltby has been read as "Manson T." (New York Gen. & Biog. Reg., Vol. 54, p. 85) has:

(Note. Mrs. H. S. Scammon, 3632 Portland Ave., Minneapolis, Minn., had the Burdick ancestry, also Spalding and Putnam, which I gather were families who intermarried with Burdick).
